ReplyDeleteI'd like to get everyone's feedback on the possibility of a Community/Senior Center in our town. We desperately need a place for groups to meet and a space for the Council On Aging to move their offices into.
On Wednesday night a meeting was held at the current C.O.A. office (boy were we cramped!) and the architects and project engineers showed us three different plans for the property at Sachem Rock Farm. It was very exciting, especially in view of the fact that we must do something soon to restore those buildings! This is a great time to do this type of a project. We were told that, because of the current economy, many, many companies will bid on the job and prices have been coming in much lower. Everyone wants to win the project so the competition for it between companies is huge!
